Description ABC Roofing, a Tecta America Company, has been a leading commercial roofing contractor in Portland, Oregon, serving Oregon, Washington, and Arizona since 1951. We specialize in low and steep-slope roofs, offering new construction, roof replacement, repairs, and maintenance. The Accounting Manager assists the President in driving business results. Responsible for the planning and control of financial activities. Provides guidance and support to operational teams. This position reports to the Operating Unit President and Regional Controller. Primary Responsibilities: Supervises accounting and administrative personnel. Prepares work in progress reports and attends operations meetings. Monitors project work in progress schedules and confers with estimators and project team members on changes and adjustments to cost estimates. Manages project financials to include contract values, change orders, customer invoicing (some AIA), lien releases, and retention. Prepares monthly financial statements. Balances intercompany accounts with Corporate/Operating Units Performs balance sheet account reconciliations. Prepares sales and use tax returns. Oversees payroll. Oversees payroll tax reports. Backup for human resources issues. Oversee physical inventories. Handles the reporting for the annual insurance renewal and audit. Handles all applicable tax reporting to the corporate office. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field Construction Accounting experience is a MUST WIP and POC experience is a MUST Solid verbal, written, interpersonal and listening skills Must work well under pressure Problem Solving Ability Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet program, including strong analytical abilities Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and contract documents, as well as converse comfortably with all levels of the Tecta organization 5+ years' experience in accounting or a related field Salary - $95-120K + Bonus ABC Roofing, a Tecta America Company,offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, etc.
