The Revenue Cycle Informaticist serves as the conduit between Revenue Cycle operations, managed care initiatives, and information technology. Their primary objective is to facilitate the seamless integration, utilization, and optimization of revenue cycle management processes and applications by leveraging data and analytics, identifying root cause and proposing and seeing through solutions to effectively support hospital operations and financial objectives

The Revenue Cycle Informaticist will be responsible for:

  • Acting as a liaison between revenue cycle and IT, supporting all customers throughout the revenue cycle in the implementation, learning, use, adoption, and optimization of revenue cycle and/or managed care technology projects.
  • Supporting analysis, implementation, evaluation, optimization, and maintenance of revenue cycle and managed care applications and projects.
  • Conducting workflow and data analysis and making recommendations to improve efficient, reliable use of the revenue cycle information systems.
  • Providing insight and structure for departmental prioritization to support enterprise functions such as the IT Steering Committee and Capital Committee.
  • Understanding vendor technology and roadmaps to determine how to leverage them in current or future operations and educating operational leaders on capabilities.
  • Providing support for managers and operations in the usage of analytical tools to identify and address business needs.
  • Identifying opportunities to drive improvements to meet department goals (cost reduction, improving cash flow, reducing denials/write-offs).
To qualify, you must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred
  • Five (5) or more years of related to healthcare revenue cycle operations and EPIC is required
  • EPIC certification in Prelude, Cadence, Resolute, Grand Central is preferred
  • This is a fully remote opportunity
