This Sterile Supply Transporter will be responsible for:
  • Transporting supplies and equipment from Sterile Processing Department to appropriate departments within the Hospital in accordance with established safety policies
  • Loading and unloading, sterilization and assembly of tools to the appropriate carts
  • Utilizing proper body mechanics training in all transport activities
  • Demonstrating efficiency and productivity in transporting necessary equipment in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Transporting soiled instruments from the Clinics to the Sterile Processing Department within the Hospital
  • Delivering sterile instruments from the sterile Processing Department to the Clinic locations within the hospital
  • Putting away supplies and sterile trays in the appropriate locations
  • Documenting daily operational checks and records for all sterilization equipment
  • Performing routine scanning of the instrumentation and ensuring accurate locations in the SPM database
  • Breaking down cancelled cases and putting away supplies and instruments as needed
  • Unloading cart washer and organizing instrument containers

To qualify, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • One year of experience in health care or a warehouse setting
  • The ability to present ideas and information in a timely, concise, effective and interpersonally appropriate manner
  • The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to identify issues and opportunities, collect appropriate information, effectively process information and make timely and effective decisions to improve outcomes
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with others
