We are seeking a dynamic, energetic and polished salesperson.It is essential that the candidate be a quick learner, articulate and accomplished in basic business skills.This position requires a willingness and ability to travel. We are very interested in the candidate's ability to grow with our company long-term.

Education/Experience

Four-year college degree.

Travel

This position requires 30-50% travel annually.

Job Responsibilities

  • Initiate sales process on new leads and seek new business opportunities with existing accounts.
  • Consistently achieve established sales activity metrics and document activity through Salesforce (10+ cold calls daily, 20+ meeting monthly, etc)
  • Proactively engage and work with prospects' and customers' Purchasing and Research & Development departments to provide exceptional solutions for their new and existing food and beverage products.
  • Develop strong knowledge of Gillco's product offerings in order to support prospects' and customers' technical questions regarding ingredient functionality.
  • Travel to and manage relationships with direct manufacturing and co-packing companies.
  • Work across multiple internal departments (Customer Service, Accounting, Documents, Sales, Marketing) as well as supplier partners throughout entire sales cycle.
  • Close sales opportunities by building rapport with prospective accounts; communicating product and service capabilities; troubleshooting obstacles; preparing sales agreements/contracts, etc.
  • Monitor industry competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, lead times, etc.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions
  • Attend and exhibit at Institute of Food Technologists (IFT)Supplier Events and national tradeshows (SupplySide, Fancy Foods, Natural Expo)
