Coverage Programs, a division within San Francisco Health Plan, is a collaborative team aiming to provide universal health care in San Francisco. Reporting to the Supervisor of Product Management, the Product Manager on this team will manage technology products for San Francisco City Option, Healthy San Francisco, and Enrollment Services to improve healthcare access and coverage in San Francisco. The experienced Product Manager will guide product delivery by understanding needs of internal and external stakeholders, overseeing the entire product lifecycle for internal applications and data interchanges, managing technical vendors, and recommending technology solutions to support Program staff and participants. Please note that SFHP supports a hybrid work environment. As such, this position will be required to be onsite and in the office a minimum of 4 days per month. Salary: $90,000 - $103,125/year WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Lead beginning-to-end product development for projects affecting multiple team members.
- Manage a prioritized backlog of product projects, enhancements, new features, and bug fixes.
- Work with Coverage Programs stakeholders to understand Program priorities and apply Program rules and policies to inform product roadmap.
- Connect Coverage Programs goals and values to product decisions, ensuring team members understand trade-offs, technical limitations, and reasoning behind product strategy.
- Collaborate with all team members to gather and write detailed product requirements.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering Teams to deploy product plans.
- Conduct user research with Program staff and participants to understand user needs and opportunities.
- Manage assessment and resolution of production issues; independently provide root cause analysis and communicate status reports.
- Monitor maintenance and enhancement of technology products to ensure functionality and provide support, analysis, coordination, and assistance for business operations.
- Track success metrics for product plans. Present areas of user need in technology products and evaluate the impact of changes implemented. Lead team members in insightful product design and feature enhancement conversations based on findings.
- Manage product and release communication with team members across multiple departments.
- Manage user acceptance testing and approve releases.
- Maintain product documentation, create detailed logic flow diagrams.
- Manage vendor relationships by required changes or bugs to vendor teams and facilitating resolution, escalating to leadership.t
- Conduct feasibility studies, evaluate vendor products, and make build or buy recommendations for new technology products based on user requirements and system analysis.
- Increase data exchanges to lead data and reporting efficiencies.
- Lead product demonstrations to showcase new features and enhancements to team members and leadership.
- Develop processes for product delivery.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- At least three years of experience as a product manager of software products in the Finance or Public Sector.
- Demonstrated experience writing clear and detailed product requirements.
- Demonstrated UI/UX proficiency, experience with information architecture, logic flow diagrams, user research methods, and data analysis.
- Basic design skills and comfort communicating new features through sketches, wireframes, and mock-ups.
- Experience with marketing and digital communication.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools.
- Experience writing SQL queries.
- Experience break complex topics down for different audiences.
- Evaluate detailed information, analysis and findings to internal and external audiences.
