New York Life's primary distribution channel is the career Agency sales force ofmore than 12,000agents and advisors, operating in virtually every major city in the United States. Every agent/advisor is affiliated with one of our General Offices. These offices are operated by Agency management teams responsible for agent and management recruiting, development, and sales. Approximately half our agents/advisors operate their businesses out of our General Offices, while the other half maintains independent office locations.

Our General Offices are divided up among four Zones. In addition to our Zone offices, an Agency Home Office team responsible for strategy, finance, administration, standards, training, marketing, and communications supports our agents and field managers. The Agency operation also comprises teams charged with growing our business in key market segments, including the middle-income market and the advanced (high-net-worth) market.

Role Overview:

The Recruiting Content Manager will serve a critical role within the digital marketing team, focusing on the strategic creation, production and management of compelling content tailored to enhance the recruitment process for potential New York Life advisors. As a key driver in shaping New York Life's brand presence, the Recruiting Content Manager collaborates across multiple departments to ensure content aligns with the company's objectives and resonates with its target audiences to attract strong talent.

What You'll Do:

This individual will be responsible for evaluating the current state of NYL recruiting content across the entire digital ecosystem to better understand how content is performing against diverse audience needs and strong competition. This person will buildout a modernized library of resources, including engagement tools, aligned to a reimagined recruiting process. These tools will support the creation of a new experience for both candidates and recruiters centered around a more intuitive platform that engages high-quality candidates from the initial point of contact through the entire recruiting process.

This will require the following:

    • Collaborate with marketing, UX, analytics, creative, and technology teams to identify opportunities and develop strategies that enhance agent recruiting processes.
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive communication plan across diverse New York Life platforms, ensuring consistent messaging aligned with the company's branding and compliance with legal regulations.
    • Create engaging presentations and marketing materials to empower recruiters in attracting high-caliber candidates.
    • Manage the content lifecycle from ideation to publication, leveraging data-driven insights to refine and optimize content strategies.
    • Maintain a deep understanding of New York Life's marketing regulations and brand guidelines, ensuring all content produced meets these standards.
    • Cultivate a keen awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance New York Life's digital presence and content delivery strategies.
    • Utilize strong project management skills to oversee multiple content projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with overall marketing objectives.
    • Support the editorial and marketing teams by producing high-quality written content that aligns with the strategic goals of the recruitment process.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Over 5+ years of professional experience in marketing, particularly in digital marketing or user experience for web platforms.
  • Proven experience in brand and digital marketing strategy, with a strong editorial background preferred.
  • Expertise in agile methodologies, working effectively in dynamic, cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability in content management, with a focus on delivering user-centered content.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data and leveraging insights to guide content strategy and creation.
  • In-depth understanding of digital marketing principles and brand management.
  • Exceptional writing and editorial skills, with a focus on creating content that engages and converts.
  • Advanced skills in content management systems and tools.
  • Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and presentation tools like PowerPoint.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, creating structure out of complexity.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Enthusiasm for staying ahead of digital trends and adapting to new technologies.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:$117,500-$140,000

Overtime eligible:Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible:Yes

Sales bonus eligible:No

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
