Description
The Manager, Cost will report directly to the subsidiary's Projects Controls functional lead and is responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and execution of the Cost, Progress & Performance, Change Management, and associated project reporting procedures, analysis, and practices for EPFC, EPC or Construction capital and maintenance projects across various divisions. Essential Functions

- Responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and execution of all cost control, change management, progress, performance, reporting, analysis and underlying procedures and systems, including:
- Works closely with the Subsidiary Schedule Manager to ensure alignment throughout project controls procedure development, project kick off process, project execution and project close out.
- Assists in the coordination, analysis and reporting of project and consolidated change management, including Unapproved Change Order (UCO) compliance.
- Coordinates the development of the progress and performance (quantity management) analysis and reporting as well as associated quantity growth and change management throughout project execution.
- Works directly with division project controls and operational personnel through project kick off, baseline budget development, commercial requirements, reporting, analysis, execution, and project close out.
- Coordinates subsidiary monthly and quarterly project reporting and review processes, supporting division and project personnel in review and preparation of presentations, project forecasting, analysis, and reporting.
- Oversees the quantity management consolidation and reporting process with Field Engineering, Project Controls personnel and Discipline leads for historical estimating support as well as monitoring progress and reporting of quantity growth.
- Participates in project level revenue recognition exercises, ensuring compliance and practices are aligned with processes and procedures.
- Performs audits, validating project progress, productivity, project actuals, commitments, estimate to complete and estimate at completion forecasts, as well as project variances and change management compliance.
- Performs other related duties, as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or other related field.
- 8+ years of relevant Industrial Project Controls experience.
- Ability to interpret contract terms, conditions, and exhibits as applicable to project requirements.
- Knowledge of Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Construction, Commissioning and practices.
- Direct Hire Construction Experience is a plus.
- Experience managing multiple groups and working with various deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Microsoft Office and Excel proficiency, ability to gather and organize large amounts of data.
- Familiarity with Penta Accounting software is a plus.
- Familiarity with EcoSys, Prism G2 or other industry project controls enterprise tools.
- Varying work schedule and occasional overtime may be required.
- Ability to travel as required.
