About the Role and You

Reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Marketing, this role will engage you in the end-to-end process of bringing high impact messaging to market, from ideation and research (in which you'll collaborate directly with our subject matter experts), to developing and publishing content, then tracking the key performance indicators. We need content will be developed in a variety of formats and published across a variety of channels.

You are a digital native, knowledgeable about our segment of the tech industry. You are passionate about creating compelling, fresh, provocative copy that drives engagement and dialog. With more than seven years of experience writing for B2B audiences in the tech industry, you continue building your understanding of integrating SEO into your output and working with Content Management Systems to perfect and publish your work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Planning: Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in engineering; product management; operations; environmental health/safety and sustainability, and construction.
  • Copywriting: Create clear, engaging, and persuasive copy for blogs, bylined articles, case studies, white papers, press releases, video scripts, and other marketing materials targeted at B2B audiences in the technology industry. Ensure all copy aligns with our brand voice, tone, and messaging guidelines while maintaining consistency across different content types.
  • SEO Optimization: Leverage SEO best practices to ensure content ranks well in search engines and drives organic traffic to our website.
  • Content Management: Use a content management system (WordPress VIP) to publish and manage content, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely updates.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor the performance of written content using analytics tools and make data-driven adjustments to optimize impact.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field - or equivalent experience.
  • At least 7 years of professional writing experience, with a focus on B2B content in the technology sector.
  • Proven expertise in writing persuasive, high-quality copy across multiple formats.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and experience optimizing content for search engines.
  • Familiarity with content management systems, particularly WordPress VIP, and the ability to manage content publishing workflows.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with keen attention to detail and understanding of how readers/viewers engage with online content.
  • Ability to both collaborate and work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of data center colocation, managed IT services, or related industries is a plus.
