Responsibilities
Granite Hills Hospital offers high-quality, patient centered behavioral health care for the greater Milwaukee community. Our 120-bed facility features evidence-based treatment for adolescents, adults, and older adults. We are looking for looking for a Teacher - Child / Adolescent to join our new team. The Teacher - Child / Adolescent provides focused educational instruction and academic support to Adolescents who are admitted to Granite Hills and are actively enrolled in elementary or secondary education (Middle School or High School). The Teacher employs a variety of instructional techniques, curriculum and instructional media, consistent with the physical limitations of the location, as well as the needs and capabilities of the students. Provides academic teaching services to patients enrolled in elementary or secondary education in a Department of Public Instruction (DPI) approved course and residing within the State of Wisconsin. The school is in session year round so the Academic Teacher works a non-traditional school schedule. Essential Functions
Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science and Health.
Other Functions:
Qualifications Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Education or Special Education is required. Master's Degree in Education or Special Education is preferred. Experience: Must be able to teach Middle through High School aged students in core subject areas; Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science and Health.
