Reporting to the Manager of Quality Data Analytics, the Data Analyst will manage the analysis and reporting of data supporting Quality Initiatives in Health Services. The Data Analyst will help increase the use of data in clinical decision-making and improving data quality by identifying data gaps impacting Health Services Quality Initiatives including Quality Improvement and Population Health Management. You will support quality reporting for the Medi-Cal and D-SNP lines of business.

The Quality Data Analytics (QDA) team values collaboration and teamwork, as the team works with other teams, from clinical staff to our ITS Department, and external partners such as providers and regulatory agencies

SFHP is proud to offer a hybrid work environment. As such, this role will be required to be onsite, in office a minimum of 4 days per month.

Salary: $80,000 to 100,000 annually

WHAT YOU WILL DO:



  • Perform accurate data analysis, trending, and reporting.
  • Resolve data quality issues affecting HEDIS and Star Ratings performance and other Quality Initiatives.
  • Validate our requirements for exchange of data between healthcare systems.
  • Identify new ways to integrate existing data sources or reports from several internal or external stakeholders supporting the programs managed by the Quality Data Analytics team including CMS, DMHC, DHCS, and NCQA reporting
  • Design and develop reports using the data from the Quality Reporter and Jiva applications.
  • Ensure the integrity of data being reported and used is accurate and valid.
  • Interface with users and other stakeholders to achieve mutually agreeable deliverables, timeframes, resources, and outcomes.
  • Be a liaison with Data Management, Business Analytics and other ITS teams for any changes or updates in data exchanges.
  • Coordinate small projects following standardized project management methodologies.
  • Coordinate materials for SFHP committees and meetings that have direct impact on the programs managed by the Quality Data Analytics team.


WHAT YOU WILL BRING:



  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Business, Public Health, or other relevant areas; or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience with Medi-Cal and Medicare quality reporting including HEDIS and STAR ratings.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in health plan operations, health care clinical/data quality improvement, direct patient care, or other experience directly related to position responsibilities and knowledge.
  • Familiarity with technologies including Cotiviti Quality Reporter, QNXT, and Jiva is helpful.
  • Experience in health care data sets impacting Quality Initiatives and Measures including HEDIS, Member, Provider, Claim, Encounter, Lab, Electronic Health Record (EHR), and Pharmacy data.
  • Experience in data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, including report development.
