- Observes the "General Rules for All Employees" at all times.
- Performs Maintains all piping systems, hydraulics, pumps, rail tracks, electrical systems, trams, and stationary industrial equipment
- Performs maintenance on hoists, welding, and routine and as-needed maintenance and repair on all powered industrial equipment, as assigned.
- Makes repairs on bulk storage tanks.
- Performs required plumbing repair and modifications.
- Keeps work areas clean and free of debris
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Observes all safety rules, regulations, and Koppers Inc. policies.
- Promptly reports all incidents, injuries, damages, or other SH&E issues.
- Keeps work area clean and orderly.
- Inspects the equipment for leaks and makes or seeks repairs when found.
- Uses correct PPE at all times.
- Completes all SH&E task as assigned by management.
- Ensures that used oil drained from machinery is properly disposed of.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass pre-employment medical screening
- May be required to medically be cleared to wear respiratory protection
- Must be able to comprehend company's lockout/tagout program.
- Demonstrates acceptable retention level for the required training elements
- Demonstrates strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Pass applicable level mechanic test.
