Professor - PART TIME

Job Summary:

The Division of Infectious Diseases is recruiting a part-time faculty member at the University of Colorado School of Medicine (Anschutz Medical Campus) who will have primary duties in research, scholarship, and mentorship in the field. This physician scientist will play an important role in the Division of Infectious Diseases by advancing its missions in research. Applicants must have an MD degree. Research and scholarship responsibilities will include the establishment and/or maintenance of an independent, extramurally funded research program. The position includes a competitive salary and high-quality laboratory space if needed. Our community offers an intellectually diverse environment with state-of-the-art core facilities. The Division of Infectious Diseases and Anschutz Medical Campus comprise a large, interactive community of outstanding scientists investigating infectious diseases, microbial biology and immunology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain or apply for new research grants to support independent research.
• Publish new findings in top tier peer-reviewed journals.
• Provide mentorship to Department of Medicine/Division of Infectious Diseases faculty members.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Professor:

• MD or MD-PhD degree

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated publication record
• Existing extramural funding or strong potential for it

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Completed a clinical fellowship in infectious diseases or appropriate PhD training in an infectious diseases topic

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

Professor: $30,000 to $35,504

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
