The Worcester Counseling Center provides integrated behavioral health and primary care services to adults, and couples age 18 and over. We offer integrated, whole person care with primary care, a wellness program, and behavioral health. The Worcester Counseling Center also offers specialized substance addiction treatment. Our medication assisted treatment offers buprenorphine and vivitrol treatment. We also have specialized services for individuals experiencing psychotic symptoms for the first time, and for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct clinical treatment to adults, children and adolescents as represented in the caseload through diagnostic evaluations and screenings; crisis/emergency assessment and intervention; treatment planning and assessment; individual, group, couple and family therapy.

  • Participates in interdisciplinary and integrated diagnostic treatment and planning conferences.

  • Consults with area schools, doctors/primary care, individuals, and other social service agencies, insurance providers and hospital networks regarding clients, client services and case management as applicable.

  • Maintains client records and administrative records consistent with policy.

  • Attends administrative staff meetings as required.

  • Attends seminars, in-service education, clinical supervision, and professional meetings as required.

  • Participates in required trainings.

  • Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients, and visitors.

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled In a Masters or Doctoral level program in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, or related program.
