Associates are eligible to apply for a lateral transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Part-time Associates who have completed their probationary period can move to full-time vacancies within their department provided such movement will not unreasonably reduce the operational efficiency of that department. Probationary period is three (3) months for full-time employees, and four (4) months for part-time employees who works more than 3/5 of the normal workweek. Probationary period will not apply to shift changes.

We are currently seeking a customer service-oriented Per-diem Senior Clerk Typist to support our high-quality patient care team. The ideal candidate will perform diversified and moderately complex clerical duties, prioritizing assignments to ensure effective clerical procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

* Accurately and timely preparation of reports, bills, and correspondence using automated systems or PC-based solutions

* Typing routine correspondence, reports, and forms, providing typing services to departmental staff

* Patient billing activities, including coding, preparing bills, batching and checking statements, verifying coverage, and updating information to provide accurate and timely billing services

* Screening and responding to telephone or written inquiries, compiling data in response to routine inquiries, and assisting in the preparation of complex reports

* Scheduling appointments and providing information to patients and clinical staff, resolving scheduling problems and updating automated scheduling systems to ensure efficient operation

* Maintaining departmental files, organizing and purging outdated material, and retrieving files to ensure accurate and up-to-date information

* Managing office supply inventory and equipment, ordering supplies as necessary to ensure adequate and effective operation

* Ensuring the accuracy and currency of database information

* Effective interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration and communication with the Interdisciplinary Care Team.

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent,

* Proficiency in Microsoft office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

* Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

* Knowledge of medical terminology

* Previous experience preferred
