The Program Engagement Coordinator develops and implements best practices for youth engagement, supports field units in programming efforts, and oversees summer camp staff recruitment and operations. This role manages Youth Department administration, including correspondence, invoicing, and documentation, while coordinating contracts, events, and registration processes to ensure smooth execution of programs and activities. $52,000 - $56,000 annually 2445 Prior Ave N, Roseville, MN 55113 Essential Functions
- Program Engagement Development (25%): Develop and implement best practices for youth engagement, including classroom management, behavior management, and program frameworks. Provide guidance and support for units in their youth programming efforts.
- Summer Camp Support (25%): Manage recruitment, hiring, and supervision of summer camp staff. Provide on-site support at Northwoods Camp for the duration of summer programs, providing guidance to campers while assisting with program operations and worship activities.
- Administrative Operations (25%): Manage the Youth Department's administrative operations, including shared inbox correspondence, processing invoices, handling mailing and supply needs, processing loan records, and maintaining documentation.
- Event and Contract Coordination (15%): Research, negotiate, and process agreements for event speakers, college partnerships for camp staff recruitment, and internal camp lodging arrangements, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints. Assist in planning and implementing youth events.
- Event Registration Coordination (10%): Lead event registration efforts, both pre-event and day-of, ensuring familiarity with the database and coordination with software contacts.
Education and Experience
- Associate degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience working with youth required.
- Previous experience working in an administrative setting is highly encouraged.
- Must pass background checks, possess a valid driver's license, and pass an MVR check.

Working Conditions

- Must reside on-site at Northwoods Camp in Finlayson, MN, for approximately eight weeks during summer camp programs.
- Work hours occasionally include evenings and weekends.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Provide supervision, mentorship, and training directly to assigned seasonal summer camp staff.
- Make employment recommendations to the Divisional Youth Secretary.
Driving/Travel Requirements Occasional driving throughout the metro and infrequent travel to Salvation Army locations throughout Minnesota and North Dakota utilizing an agency or personal vehicle.
