Position summary:

Focused on Critical Infrastructure, the Operational Technology Specialist will assist Industrial Control System (ICS) staff with the maintenance, control, and efficient operation of ICS equipment and systems. This includes assisting with all basic aspects of application support, system architecture and design, security, networking, and system administration.

Pay Range: This posting includes the full pay range for this position. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
Level I: $71,100 - $106,600
Level II: $84,600 - $126,900

Reporting Relationship: Operational Engineering Technologies Manager

Location: Pueblo, Colorado

Relocation Assistance: Relocation assistance is available based on individual circumstances! Details to be shared during the offer process.

Essential Functions:
* Assist with the installation and support of IT applications and systems utilized in support of Generation, Electric SCADA, and Gas SCADA control systems for the purpose of remote access, cyber security, logging and monitoring and backups.
* Support IT systems such as Linux OS, Windows OS, database, and network technologies, and have an understanding of general troubleshooting techniques is required.
* Applying security and application updates. Ensure recoverability, cyber security, and stability of designated systems.
* Ensure compliance with NERC/CIP, TSA and NIST 800 security controls and present data to internal stakeholders as needed.
* Provide first line technical support for Industrial Control Systems utilized by Black Hills Energy including but not limited to ABB, Siemens, GE, OSI, WonderWare, PI and Teledyne Control System Software.
* Assist with IT Cyber Asset Management utilizing Company asset management applications.
* Work with contract resources and project delivery teams to ensure the ability to deliver a complex portfolio of projects that meet business requirements.
* Assist with review of IT Policies and document procedures for audit and control purposes and present data to internal stakeholders as needed. Apply use of standard practices, standard system architecture, and standard software in accordance with Black Hills policies and procedures.
* Maintain existing architecture diagrams of designated systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.

Additional Responsibilities:
* Assist in documenting processes, procedures, work instructions and training for end users.
* In this role travel will be required to support ICS systems and participation in on-call rotation and support critical 24/7 systems outside of normal working hours as needed.

What Is Required:
Level I:
* Bachelor's Degree relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Minimum of 1 year of experience supporting IT applications and systems.
Level II:
* Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Minimum of 3 years of supporting complex IT applications and systems.

What Is Desired:
* Ability to apply use of standard practices, standard system architecture, and standard software in accordance with Black Hills policies and procedures.
* Build a knowledge of existing architecture diagrams of designated systems
* Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS
* Ability to think creatively to simplify the existing data architecture, delivering reusable services and identify cost saving opportunities in line with the policies and standards of the group
* Ability to learn Virtualization Technologies (VMWare, HyperV, AHV, etc).
* Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking.
