Shop/Plant Supervisor II - Delhi Construction Maintenance (Days)

Pay Range: $89,750 - $112,175 per year.

• Under the direction of the department manager, to guide and direct the structural maintenance functions of the company while maintaining high quality work at cost effective prices.
• Decision-Making Responsibilities: Determine work, schedules, materials, and contract specifications in the affected areas of discipline.
• Working Relationships: Internally: Frequent contact with live production supervisors, the Purchasing and Accounting Departments, and managers and supervisors in manufacturing, the restaurants, and the dairies. Externally: Frequent contract with building inspectors, contractors, vendors and suppliers.
• Under the direction of the department manager, to guide and direct the structural maintenance functions of the company while maintaining high quality work at cost effective prices.
• Guide and direct the efforts of the structural maintenance and painting crews.
• Maintain cost control on project work through careful coordination of schedules, equipment, tools, and materials.
• Ensure adherence to the department/company goals, which have been established to maintain a safe working environment, through:
• Considering safety to be an integral part of the design, repair, and construction of facilities and equipment.
• Monitoring jobs to make sure that productivity quality and safety standards are being met.
• Coordinate cost estimates for projects with department manager and/or other appropriate personnel
• Assist in obtaining permits and inspections on project work.
• Guide and direct the work crews for effective manpower and teamwork development through:
• Assisting in hiring, training, and evaluating personnel.
• Insuring that employees' technical skills continue to be developed in these disciplines so that existing and future business needs are met efficiently.
• Maintaining a working environment in which positive employer/employee relations motivate the enthusiasm necessary for accomplishing the challenging goals the department is called upon to meet throughout the company.
• Provide 24 hour a day emergency response to keep ranches, feed mills, processing plant, etc. in operation with least possible down time through:
• Provide expert back up to plant, feed mill and Live Production personnel company wide.
• Provide alternatives in emergency situations through fabrication and welding crews and equipment.

• Must have a minimum 5 years of experience in construction related trade supervision
• Must meet the requirements ofClass A mechanic
• Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work from a ladder.
• Must have and maintain a California driver's license and an acceptable DMV record.
