What to Expect As an IT Information Security Intern, you'll work closely with our IT professionals to investigate, document, and report any actual or potential information security violations, incidents, breeches, or inappropriate computer use. Pay: $18-$23 Hours: 20 - 40 hours per week (Depending on your school schedule. We're flexible!) Duration: 8-12 weeks Location: Onboarding, training, and some projects will be located at our 8220 N 23rd Ave. office in Phoenix, Arizona. All other work to be performed remotely. Throughout this Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona internship, you will: Learn the BCBSAZ business model, organization, and impact on the community. Expand and develop knowledge through exposure to the roles on the IT Security team. Gain an understanding of advanced information security concepts, best practices and procedures. Evaluate security risk assessments of new systems and upgrades to determine impact to information security. Research, analyze, track, and resolve basic IT problems. Respond to user requests for service, troubleshoot problems, and help develop solutions. Investigate, document, and report on information security issues and emerging trends. Coordinate and perform tests for modified and new systems. Perform audits of random users' system access. Investigate, document, and report on information security issues and emerging trends. Qualifications Two years attendance at an accredited college pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in computer technology or related technical field.
