As a Grant/Contract Administrator, you will leverage your technical writing and analytical skills, knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations, as well as your savvy organization skills to act as a liaison between Human Services programs and other County departments and outside entities. In your role, you'll effectively develop and process contracts, agreements, and proposals for goods and services. We Require
Two years of contract or grant management experience Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, English, or a related field An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis

Experience with governmental life cycle contract administration, which includes contract development through contract management and monitoring, to contract closeout Experience with law, federal and state statutes, federal code of regulations and other requirements governing contractual agreements made by the County in the areas of service delivery Experience in mediating between County departments and contractors on issues pertaining to the interpretation of the terms and conditions of existing contracts Experience in managing multiple projects with competing priorities, excellent time management and organization skills, specifically with prioritizing and organizing workflow Experience with understanding service delivery intent and related scopes of work for the associated contract Experience in technical writing, specifically with legal agreements and contract development Experience with government benefit programs Advanced Microsoft Office Suite proficiency and its shared platforms, as well as Adobe for document management and signing Advanced proficiency in proofreading, editing, grammar, spelling and formatting Strong interpersonal communication and interaction skills, to lead meetings between departments and staff, virtually and in person
Job Contributions
Assist in the development of Intergovernmental Agreement's (IGAs), Contracts, Amendments, and Statements of Work Develop, monitor, and lead the process to implement agreements for formal approval with community partners, service providers, and funding providers Review and edit scopes of work and associated documents to solicit for desired goods and services while observing all County, State, Federal, and funder procurement rules and regulations Coordinate with staff to ensure the effective and efficient processing of agreements and contracts across the Human Services Department Work with departments such as Risk Management, County Attorney, Clerk of the Board, Real Estate, and Office of Procurement to ensure agreements meet County requirements Work with staff to develop and submit documents for the Board of Supervisors' approval using the County agenda submission system (SOLAR). Maintain logs to identify when new agreements are required, or renewal or extensions are necessary. Assist with the planning and completion of funding applications, supplemental federal funding applications, and other federal, state, local, or other funding applications Participate in various department/division workgroups/committees to enhance the procurement process
Working Conditions
Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire Must secure and maintain an Arizona Department of Public Safety Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card Must obtain Maricopa County Certified Agency Procurement Aide (CAPA) certification within six months of hire Work is routinely performed in an office environment, which may require long periods of sitting, reading, and typing Requires travel to program sites throughout Maricopa County The position requires travel to and from various County, client, and contractor locations during a scheduled workday, subject to County policies regarding the use of County vehicles and/or private vehicles used on County business
