Business Development Engineer - NSK Corporation

The Company

NSK is a global manufacturer of ball and roller bearings, linear motion technology, automotive components, and steering systems with both domestic and overseas manufacturing capabilities. NSK also offers a full range of services including reconditioning, ball screw repair, product integration, application engineering, and predictive and preventative maintenance and reliability services. The Business Development Engineer Role

This position develops and captures opportunities and manages new business development for defined markets and products with geographical boundaries; it assumes a high level of responsibility for the success of NSK in meeting sales and profitability for the industry within the boundaries. This position will work closely with original equipment designers and various other designing/buying influencers to develop new business projects for NSK products and services.

Responsibilities



  • Responsible for identifying and targeting New Product Introduction Tool projects at Wafer Fab Equipment (WFE) Original Equipment Manufacturers and specifying NSK products to generate new projects.
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines.
  • Provides coaching and professional development to team-member sales associates in order to enhance their product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Leads demand-generating marketing activities in the assigned market for the assigned product specialty.
  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Coordinates the customer involvement of other company personnel when needed, including support resources, team members, and management.
  • Responsible for the promotion, support, and sale of NSK linear products to all WFE Original Equipment Manufacturers as well as the end-user accounts as assigned.
  • Develops new sales opportunities and new customers for NSK.
  • Forecasts customer needs and relays customer requirements to appropriate NSK support personnel.
  • Reports to NSK on commercial, economic, and competitive issues affecting the business.
  • Supports and implements company goals, objectives, and special assignments as requested.
  • Provides advanced technical support and training to customers, end-users, and occasional other NSK personnel.
  • Supports the Regional sales teams as it relates to customer visits and technical support in the field.
  • Assists other NSK departments with various assigned projects related to linear products, customers, and markets.


Qualifications



  • This job requires a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 8 to 10 years of position-related experience. Engineering degree required.
  • Location: Santa Clara, CA or Austin, TX.
