    • Create detailed 3D CAD models and assemblies of high-voltage battery modules and packs using tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or Siemens NX.
    • Develop innovative mechanical designs that meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements.

  2. 2D Drawing Creation:

    • Develop detailed 2D drawings and manufacturing documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and GD&T.
    • Collaborate with manufacturing teams and suppliers to ensure designs are production-ready and cost-effective.

  3. Simulations:

    • Conduct structural and thermal analysis to evaluate mechanical durability, strength, and heat management of battery systems by using tools, such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or COMSOL
    • Perform CFD simulations to optimize thermal performance and cooling system design of battery packs.

  4. Project Management:

    • Work with suppliers to meet design requirements, project timing and achieve cost targets.
    • Work with suppliers and manufacturing teams to fabricate prototypes and conduct validation tests.
    • Analyze test results to verify and improve design performance.
    • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis to solve development and quality issues
    • Manage suppliers' engineering documents, such as DFMEA/PFMEA
    • Lead design gate review and program milestone review
    • Lead cost and performance optimization in product development

  5. Collaboration and Integration:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and software engineers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other subsystems.
    • Support system-level validation and troubleshooting activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical design and analysis, preferably in the automotive or energy storage industry.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX).
  • Experience with FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus) and CFD tools (e.g., Simcenter STAR-CCM+).
  • Strong understanding of material properties, thermal management, and structural design principles.
  • Knowledge of GD&T with the ability to perform dimensional stack-ups.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, stamping, extrusion, and injection molding.
  • Experience managing components or sub-systems developed by suppliers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with battery systems or energy storage products.
  • Familiarity with automotive standards such as ISO 6469, ISO 19453, or ECE R-100.
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping and validation testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
