Cognitive Neuroscience Research Assistant

DCS Air and Space Technology Sector is seeking an Intern to support current research efforts in the Applied Cognitive Neuroscience (ACN) Branch at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). The ACN branch supports human subject experiments to discover and develop products/technology solutions to optimize the performance of multi-domain Airman and Guardians. As a member of our team, you will support U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and AFRL efforts in Dayton, OH. This offers opportunities to work in a dynamic environment with state-of-the-art technologies and Subject Matter Experts (SME). This work focuses on aiding in data collection for research studies, managing subject payment, and aiding in subject recruitment.

Essential Job Functions:

Conduct data collection for ongoing studies.

Aid in administrative tasks related to studies such as subject payment, recruitment, and scheduling.

Additional Duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

A BS degree in a STEM-focused field relating to Cognitive Neuroscience (Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, General Engineering, Psychology, etc.).

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Ability to adhere to IRB requirements and standards.

Ability and desire to work in a group environment.

Possession of excellent English oral and written communication skills.

Desired Skills:

A graduate degree in a STEM-focused field relating to Cognitive Neuroscience (Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, General Engineering, Psychology, etc.)

Previous experience conducting human subject research.

Previous experience using Neurotechnologies (i.e., EEG, EMG, tVNS)
