About This Role

Employee is responsible for the coordination of all recruitment events for prospective students and their families hosted on the Manhattan campus and within peak recruitment markets. The role facilitates the execution of university wide Open House, hosted each April, and serves as manager of the Berney Family Welcome Center for daily operations and space scheduling.

Worksite Option

This position is on-site. Remote work agreement (1 day a week) may be granted after six months of employment.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree


Preferred Qualifications:



  • 2-3 years of experience working in higher education with a preference towards admissions, recruitment, or event planning
  • Master's degree (or master's degree in progress) in student personnel administration, higher education or a related discipline.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent organization skills, and the ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Strong social and communication skills and the ability to engage with others of diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work with donors and sponsors of special projects.
  • Possess a high energy level and be able to work under strict deadlines.
  • Self-motivation, a team attitude, and a consistent commitment to a high standard of excellence are preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with technology and multiple computer programs (i.e. Microsoft Office including knowledge of Excel, customer relationship manager software), and efficient use of e-mail.


Other Requirements:



  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
  • Valid driver's license upon employment.
