The Role in Brief:

Strategic Leader - Transfer and Recruitment Success, Senior Associate

The Strategic Leader is the primary relationship manager and consultant for our college and university partner institutions, playing the lead role in embedding our Transfer Portal and emerging Navigate360 technology (Recruitment Success, Advancement Success) across campus and ensuring our partners see value in our technology. In addition to partnering with executives and senior leaders to set and execute strategic goals, the Strategic Leader will work with leadership across departments (primarily Enrollment Management, Admissions, Marketing, Registrar, and Advancement) to drive depth and breadth of use of the platform, leverage data to identify new areas of opportunity and identify and overcome systemic obstacles to transfer, student enrollment, and alumni engagement. The ideal candidate will be excited to lead an established technology focused on strategic support at scale (Transfer Portal - 50% of time) and quickly pivot to a startup technology mindset and the development of early-stage technologies (Recruitment Success - 40% of time, Advancement Success - 10% of time).

This role is ideally based in Washington, DC and is also open to candidates based in Richmond, VA.

Primary Responsibilities

Transfer Portal (50%)

Embedding Transfer Portal Adoption and Utilization:




    • Manage the end-to-end relationship with universities and community colleges utilizing EAB's Transfer Portal technology, from initial onboarding to continued platform adoption and utilization, through goal-setting and consulting on strategic use
    • Consult with campus executives on establishing and maintaining an effective leadership team responsible for the success of the Transfer Portal technology, setting clear expectations for utilization and accountability towards set goals
    • Assess existing prospective transfer student recruitment practices, onboarding processes and student experience; Identify opportunities to develop optimal workflow integration of the platform
    • Collaborate with leaders across campus on change management strategies
    • Partner with EAB technical/data support staff and launch consultants to ensure smooth implementation of our technology platform



Driving Transfer Portal Impact




    • Serve as partner's dedicated point of contact, working closely with executive and senior leaders on campus to align on the institution's Transfer Portal technology goals and priorities
    • Create an annual Success Plan based on use of EAB's Transfer Portal technology towards successful outcomes against stated goals
    • Understand the clear value of the platform to various constituencies
    • Consult with the campus leadership team on relevant research, best practices, and strategies that can help drive specific goals and use cases for different offices on campus
    • Develop engagement strategies with key leaders and collaborators, including participation in EAB's Partner Experiences such as webinars, summits, and trainings
    • Facilitate regular discussions with leadership on best practices and strategies to see meaningful results with the platform
    • Assess partner's progress against their Success Plan as well as growth within EAB's recommended best practices for meaningful platform use
    • Provide presentations, workshops, and resources on EAB's research and insights
    • Provide feedback and support to EAB's Product Management team to continue to further refine and enhance the technology



Contributing to Renewals and Cross Sells




    • Monitor the health of the partnership, manage continuous process improvement, and assure the platform is meeting the partner's needs
    • Maintain a strong relationship with executives and decision-makers and provide regular assessment of impact and value stories of EAB's partnership with the institution
    • Understand partner's ongoing goals and needs and how EAB continues to provide valuable solutions and support
    • Create and work against a tailored renewal strategy alongside Account Management
    • Identify cross sell opportunities across EAB's portfolio and support the sales process
    • Triage, report, address and communicate next steps for partner needs, issues or product gaps



Recruitment Success (40%) and Advancement Success (10%)

Designing a Delivery Model for Early Stage Technology




    • Develop strategies to effectively launch and implement Recruitment Success and Advancement Success, including the development of partner-facing toolkits, process documentation, and project plans
    • Lead internal efforts to streamline processes, create scalable implementation strategies, and improve operational efficiencies to better serve partners adopting early-stage technologies
    • Design a scaled delivery model that effectively supports partner product adoption and health



Developing Strategies to Improve Adoption and Utilization




    • Serve as a product and domain expert, representing Recruitment Success and Advancement Success in external partner presentations, and internal stakeholder meetings, reinforcing the platforms' value and identifying strategies to improve adoption and utilization
    • Collaborate with Navigate360 Strategic Leaders, Partner Support, and Partner Experience to understand gaps in partner adoption and deploy scaled resources to support (e.g., Help Center Articles, live or on demand programming)
    • Provide feedback and support to EAB's Product Management team to continue to further refine and enhance the technology



Monitoring Partner Health, Contributing to Renewals, and Uncovering Opportunities for Impact




    • Design health metric framework and optimal process to collect and maintain information from internal stakeholders
    • Monitor the health of the partnership during implementation and value stream in collaboration with assigned delivery team (Strategic Leader, Launch Consultant, and technical reps) and deploy risk management strategies and process improvements to ensure the platform meets partner's needs
    • Uncover impact stories that can be converted into case studies that can be used in the sales process and on partner presentations



Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Proven record of professional success
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior executives, both spoken and written
  • Must possess at least 3 years of experience in two of the following:


    • Consulting experience
    • Customer Success Management experience
    • Leadership experience
    • Direct work and relationships with executives and/or senior leaders
    • Presentation and facilitation experience


  • Willingness to travel 20-30% domestically
  • Valid driver's license


Ideal Qualifications:



  • Experience working in higher education
  • Deep knowledge of transfer and enrollment technology and strategies; advancement background nice to have
  • Demonstrated solution-focused deductive reasoning
  • Demonstrated leadership of initiatives and owning related KPIs and metrics
  • Proven ability to drive change and achieve results
  • Commercial experience
  • Ability to create compelling stories validated with data and proven best practice research
  • Possess intellectual curiosity, perseverance and creativity in problem solving
  • Excited to work on new technology and process, manages ambiguity with ease

Compensation:

The anticipated starting salary (base) range for this role is $65,000 to $80,000 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location. At EAB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the starting salary range for their role.

This hire will additionally be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on various factors, such as individual and organizational performance.
