The Senior System Analyst is responsible for provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and procedures adhere to organizational objective and policies. Serves as an escalation point for the support team.

Responsibilities of Position:



  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Participate in the creation and implementation of policies, standards, and guidelines for the IT department and the business.
  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
  • Oversee, plan, and coordinate large/complex projects.
  • Work with team to build and execute the strategy and vision for network security and monitoring.
  • Improve productivity by highlighting deficiencies and recommending change in tools, training, or processes.
  • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships and assist with the evaluation and purchase of hardware or software.
  • Provide feedback to IT group on training best practices.
  • Participates in IT integration processes for acquisitions, from planning through implementation, in collaboration with key business areas
  • Investigate and document new technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve system stability and reliability
  • Participates in Incident response, Change Management, operations reporting, asset management, problem management and operational improvements.
  • Train IT team and business employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:



  • Ability to estimate the financial impact of individual solution architecture alternatives.
  • Ability to provide accurate estimates for tasks and project activity.
  • Able to multi-task in fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Server 2012/2016.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Office 365.
  • Ideally is proficient in either virtualized technologies and supporting infrastructure or networking technologies and interested in becoming reasoning proficient in the other.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.



Physical Requirements in a Regular workday:



  • Occasionally lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 10lbs.
  • Continuously Sitting in Office Environment

  • Ability to travel between offices, as required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours; overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Must be available for 24-hour emergency calls.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable).
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language.

Qualifications
Education
High School (required)
General Education Diploma (preferred)
Associates of Computer Science (preferred)
Experience
Network Management, Firewall, Switching and Routing (Cisco and Fortinet) Experience. (preferred)
5 years: Expereience with Functional and technical aspects of IT infrastructure services and related infrastructure solutions, capabilities and technologies including the following: Virtualization (VMWare), Network Management, SAN Storage, and Cisco. (preferred)
3 years: Server Administration Experience. (preferred)
