The Role
Verkada is looking for a Mobile Software Engineering intern to join our team for an exciting and challenging internship. As part of a new product team, you will collaborate cross functionally to enable a native mobile experience in both our existing and new iOS and Android applications, enabling our best-in-class security systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the entire mobile application lifecycle (concept, design, test, and release) in a fast paced environment for both existing and new mobile applications
  • Work in partnership with cross-functional teams to grow, design, and implement new features
  • Work in iterative sprints to design, develop, and test solutions
  • Build automation and tests to streamline development


Requirements:



  • Ability to work at Verkada HQ during summer or fall 2025
  • Actively pursuing a degree in Computer Science (or similar degree plan) with a graduate date in 2026
  • Proficient understanding of Swift and iOS SDK OR Kotlin and Android SDK, and a willingness to learn about both
  • Experience writing multi-threaded, asynchronous code
  • Experience working with backend server APIs
  • Solid UI development and unit testing skills
  • Thorough understanding of fundamental Computer Science concepts
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well alongside engineers of all levels

Pay Disclosure

At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate's skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. This estimate can vary based on the factors described above, so the actual starting base pay may be above or below this range. Base pay is also just one component of Verkada's total rewards package. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
