Primary Function

TheMaintenance Helper - 1stShiftassists Industrial Maintenance Technicians in preventative maintenance program, repairing and maintaining machinery, equipment, physical structures, and plumbing and electrical systems of industrial establishment.

We Offer

Regularly Scheduled Hours:6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday, OT as needed

Hourly Rate of Pay:$22.35/hr

Sign On Bonus Opportunity:$1500 ($500 at 3 months, $500 at 6 months, $500 at 12 months - mustnot be on a corrective action for attendance to qualify for bonus payments.)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for specific preventative maintenance programs.
  • Cleans work area, tools, and equipment.
    • Performs various janitorial duties as required.
    • Documents all preventative maintenance work and requirements as specified.
    • Travels to suppliers/vendors for needed parts/supplies to support department.
    • Removes dust, dirt, grease, and waste material from machines or facility as required.
    • Operates floor sweeper.
    • Paints machines, equipment, or other objects as required.
    • Make minor repairs or upkeep to equipment such as filter, fan belt replacement or

fluid changes.

    • Changes lights.
    • Assembles shelves, tables, or cabinets per written diagrams or other instructions.
    • Verifies lighting, fire extinguisher inspection, and related duties.
    • Assists maintenance technicians in various daily work.
    • Perform grounds maintenance as assigned or needed.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of manufacturing custodial experience
  • Basic computer knowledge and navigation is helpful; ability to use electronic information

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements

  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe shoes/boots, ear and eye protection.
  • Must be able to be tow motor certified
  • Constant standing/walking and frequent bending/reaching
  • Must be able to perform safe ladder work.
  • Must be able to regularly lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work with standard cleaning chemicals.
