About the Role:

As an Assembly Associate, you will play a crucial role in the production process by assembling components and products according to standardized work instructions and quality standards. Working as part of a dynamic team, you will contribute to the efficient and timely completion of assembly tasks to meet production goals. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Assemble parts and components into finished products according to detailed assembly instructions, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to perform assembly tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure proper alignment, fit, and functionality of assembled parts, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.
  • Inspect finished assemblies for defects, irregularities, or deviations from specifications, performing visual inspections and basic functional tests.
  • Identify and report any quality issues or non-conformities to supervisors or quality control personnel for resolution.
  • Follow standardized work processes and quality procedures to ensure consistent and reliable assembly results.
  • Meet daily production targets and quotas by completing assembly tasks within specified timeframes and production schedules.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to optimize workflow, minimize downtime, and maximize productivity.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to streamline assembly processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce waste.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, practices, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and follow safe work practices to prevent accidents, injuries, or occupational hazards.
  • Report any safety concerns, hazards, or incidents to supervisors or safety personnel promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work, including production counts, scrap or rework quantities, and any quality-related data.
  • Document any issues, defects, or deviations encountered during assembly, recording relevant information for quality assurance purposes.
  • Complete required paperwork, forms, or electronic records related to production activities, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in assembly or manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience in assembly or production operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of assembly techniques, tools, and equipment used in mechanical or electronic assembly processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, diagrams, and blueprints to perform assembly tasks accurately.
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination, with the ability to handle small parts and operate hand tools effectively.
  • Attention to detail and quality orientation, with a commitment to producing high-quality products that meet specifications.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic, with the ability to meet productivity targets and deadlines.

"The pay for this position is $20 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered."
