This role will support all operating companies within American Family Insurance in Commercial Lines.

You will report to the Head of Strategy & Experience.

Position Compensation Range:

$97,000.00 - $164,000.00

Salary

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Cultivate Collaboration: Build a performance-driven culture by facilitating trust, transparency, and inclusion. Work closely with team members to set clear goals, provide constructive feedback, conduct performance assessments, and support ongoing development.
  • Lead with Influence: Bring your expertise to the table and actively contribute to the leadership team within your division or department. Communicate and champion our organization's mission, vision, values, policies, and practices.
  • Product Configuration Oversight: Take charge of product offerings and underwriting risk appetite, ensuring they align with market demands and organizational goals.
  • Drive Underwriting and Agency Management: Implement and quantify actions that enhance underwriting and agency management, driving success and efficiency.
  • Premium and Production Planning: Oversee the planning of premiums and production, utilizing analytical insights to inform key performance indicators and support line operations.
  • Profitability and Growth: Provide critical insights to drive profitability, growth, and retention. Manage expenses and oversee financial performance to ensure sustainable success.
  • Sales Analytics Leadership: Lead the charge in sales analytics to support regional and state execution. Identify target markets and develop strategies to optimize channel performance.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

  • *Demonstrated knowledge of insurance products in area of specialty.
  • *Demonstrated decision-making based on use of data and financial analysis.
  • *Demonstrated leadership, project management, change management, and personnel management experience.
  • *Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
  • *Demonstrated insurance product operations background in area of specialty.
  • *Demonstrated management or leadership experience in area(s) of specialty.
  • *Solid knowledge of process improvement methodologies.
  • *Extensive knowledge of insurance business acumen, business planning, and financial skills.
  • *Demonstrated communication and negotiation skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in commercial lines insurance.

*Up to 10%.

*Work that primarily involves sitting/standing.

In this hybrid role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110; Denver, CO 80112; Eden Prairie, MN 55343; Keene, NH 03431; St. Joseph, MO 64507; Phoenix, AZ 85034.
