GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Micro System Inc is looking for a dynamic Test Team Manager to lead a talented team responsible for performing diversified tests and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies in both production and development environments. The Test Team Manager will oversee schedules, guide projects, and ensure that our work meets the highest technical standardsion time and within budget.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Manage and coordinate efforts between test technicians, assembly teams, and production management to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products
  • Partner with engineering and production teams to facilitate seamless transitions from development to production
  • Develop and interpret new test requirements, ensuring equipment, documentation, and processes meet specifications and production timelines
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on manufacturing machines and equipment
  • Design test procedures and collaborate with engineering teams to create innovative testing solutions
  • Mentor and train technicians, providing guidance for complex diagnosis and corrective actions
  • Oversee the hiring, development, and cross-training of technicians and related employees


Other Job Functions



  • Manage the repair, calibration, and modification of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE)
  • Maintain and manage a calibration database for internal and external customers
  • Analyze industry trends and apply insights to improve operations
  • Assist in the technical bid and proposal process
  • Take on additional duties as assigned


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:



  • Oversees Test Technicians and Repair & Rework Specialists

Required Experience:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:



  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a sharp attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with peers, supervisors, and external stakeholders
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently when needed
  • Advanced technical knowledge of test equipment operations, safeguards, and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in reading and creating technical drawings, instructions, and procedures
  • Working knowledge of MS Office; experience with MRP systems is a plus


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:



  • High school diploma or equivalent (an AS degree in Electronic Technology preferred)
  • At least 10 years of combined experience as an upper-level test technician, with demonstrated leadership in a precision measurement equipment lab environment
  • Hands-on expertise diagnosing and resolving complex issues in RF and digital electronics systems


WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Production environment requiring the ability to stand or sit for extended periods
  • Repetitive motions involving finger dexterity and manual handling of small parts
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as needed
  • 20/20 vision and color vision (with or without corrective lenses)
