About Technical Operations

BioMarin's Technical Operations group is responsible for creating our drugs for use in clinical trials and for scaling production of those drugs for the commercial market. These engineers, technicians, scientists and support staff build and maintain BioMarin's cutting-edge manufacturing processes and sites, provide quality assurance and quality control to ensure we meet regulatory standards, and procure the needed goods and services to support manufacturing and coordinating the worldwide movement of our drugs to patients.

We target diseases that lack effective therapies and affect small numbers of patients, many of whom are children. These conditions are often inherited, difficult to diagnose, progressively debilitating and have few, if any, treatment options. SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Marketing Operations Manager reports to the Associate Director, Marketing Operations, U.S. Brand Management. The Marketing Operations Manager provides overall support for the Marketing Team's operational functions. The Marketing Operations team partners with Marketing as well as with Compliance, Medical and other key cross-functional teams.
  • Lead and facilitate the corporate review process for promotional materials through our, Promotional Review Board (PRB). PRB is the governing and approving board for all externally facing educational or promotional materials as well as internal training materials. Responsibilities encompass leading the weekly PRB team meetings, transcribing comments during live PRB meetings, prioritizing, updating, and distributing meeting agendas, and working with Brand, Compliance, Medical and Agencies to ensure that all content and claims in promotional materials are accurate and comply with FDA guidelines. Additionally, the person in this role will oversee the timely submission of all promotional materials to the FDA's Office of Prescription Drug Promotion (OPDP).
  • Work with the Brand Team to develop, execute, and manage ongoing marketing projects and campaigns.
  • Manage the production of promotional materials in various formats including print, digital, kitting and sourcing.
  • Forecast inventory quantities and monitor inventory levels of marketing materials.
  • Ship marketing materials to the Field Team, conventions, and patient events.
  • Coordinate the translation of marketing materials into multiple languages through translation vendors.
  • Define project budgets while guiding cost-saving measures, manage monthly accruals and reconciliation, and ensure that expenses stay within budget.
  • Train and on-board internal and external partners on systems and processes.
  • Manage the purchase and renewal of subscriptions to print and online journal articles.
  • Partner with and manage vendors to ensure that project objectives, budgets and timelines are met.
  • Support the sales enablement tool, manage inventory, and respond to requests.
  • Create, pull, and disseminate reports for cross-functional teams.
  • Initiate and manage a variety of special projects to improve processes and drive efficiencies.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-3 years of related experience in a pharmaceutical/biologics/ad agency environment

In the U.S, the salary range for this position is $ null to $ null per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity, and may also vary depending on candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience amongst other factors.
