JOB TITLE: Driver Used Oil

LOCATION: Houston, TX

POSITION REPORTS TO:Driver Manager - Lubes

SCHEDULE: TBD. Some overtime and weekends will be required.

WAGES: Commensurate with experience and skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow delivery instructions, and maintain compliance with all DOT, company and customer safety and operational policies and procedures
  • Properly load and unload product at various customer locations in a professional, courteous, timely, safe, and efficient manner
  • Clean tanks and tankers
  • Properly follow all DOT regulations, policies and procedures
  • Complete paperwork accurately and timely
  • Comply with Sun Coast's accident and incident reporting procedures for accidents and spills
  • Other related tasks as assigned by manager

Pay Range: - , General Benefits: BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Locals only please. Must live within 60 miles of terminal
  • Minimum age 23
  • Valid class A license with hazmat and tanker endorsements, a good driving record and a good understanding of DOT regulations
  • Must be able to pass background screening including MVR and criminal
  • Must have 1 year of Class A tractor trailer experience and is also knowledgeable and experienced to operate a Roll Off trailer
  • Must be willing to be clean shaven
  • Must be able to enter and work in a small confined space, for tank and tanker cleaning
  • Must have some mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to lift heavy objects such as full hoses (minimum of 50 lbs.)
  • Must not be afraid of heights
  • Must have a professional appearance and attitude, and abide by the company dress code policy


  • Must be flexible. May be asked to stay late and/or work on weekends. (Work week may exceed 70 hours (oilfield exemption applies).
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and for 12 to 18 hours per day
  • Must be able to use three points of access getting in and out of the tractor, multiple times a day
  • Must be able to climb up steps to verify tank compartments as needed
  • Must be able to work safely in uneven or muddy surfaces
  • Ability to work an extended work week. Overnight and/or out of town travel may be required
  • Good basic math skills, and ability to communicate well in verbal and written fashion
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a team environment and get along with others
  • Strong customer service skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize, multi-task, manage time, organize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment



PREFERRED

  • Experience in environmental operations
  • Experience operating a Fork Lift
