Overview

SRI's Center for Advanced Imaging is searching for a Process Integration Engineer to join their team. The candidate will help position SRI for continued growth in silicon CMOS, CCD, III-V and ROIC-based imaging technologies and products deployed in the commercial, government and military markets. The Process Integration Engineer will work across SRI and with external foundries to develop advanced III-V processing technology. The ideal candidate should understand cleanroom operation, have hands-on experience of III-V semiconductor processing and wafer fabrication, be able to develop new processes for new material and devices, communicate well and work efficiently in a team environment.

This position will be on-site in the Princeton, NJ office



Responsibilities

    Overseeing cleanroom operations
  • Maintaining cleanrooms
  • Setting up processing equipment
  • Developing, maintaining, and improving III-V semiconductor process for photonics devices
  • Tools include photolithography, wet etch, dry etch (RIE/ICP), dielectric film deposition (PECVD), metal deposition, chip hybridization, etc.


Qualifications

  • MS or PhD in chemistry, physics, applied physics, material science, electrical engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in III-V semiconductor processing, product development or production engineering.
  • Due to government contract requirements, candidates must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Experienced in developing new process, debugging and bringing it to maturity
  • Experienced in cleanroom operation and maintenance
  • Experienced in new processing equipment procurement, set up and maintenance
  • Experience with semiconductor inspection and device characterization techniques
  • Knowledge of semiconductor device physics
  • Able to work with cross-disciplinary teams like design, packaging and test teams
  • Good communication skills

The salary range is: $111,474-$147.699. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program.
