Job Description

Torch Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the Carriage Equipment Integrated Product Team (IPT) within Long Range Standoff (LRSO) System Program Office (SPO). This position requires a highly motivated individual with mechanical engineering experience. Essential duties will include:

  Evaluate contractor proposals for executable plans for major refurbishment and conversion of B-52 pylons and rotary launchers in support of new missile program.

  Manage and technically evaluate changes to design and production documentation.

  
  
• 
  

  Analyze and inspect components for structural integrity and corrosion.

  
  
• 
  

  Review and provide recommended changes to drawing packages.

  
  
• 
  

  Review and evaluate mechanical aspects for program and production process documentation and quality standards.

  
  
• 
  

  Evaluate production Validation and Verification and test plans.

  
  
• 
  

  Recommend suitable substitutions for obsolete parts and evaluate deviations and variations to approved documentation.

  
  

Job Requirements

Must have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent discipline. Additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  Must have at least 3 years in mechanical engineering experience or equivalent.

  Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  
  
• 
  

  Must have an active SECRET DoD security clearance.

  
  
• 
  

  Must be eligible for a TOP SECRET clearance.

  
  

Additional Notes

This position requires candidates to possess a current SECRET security clearance in order to access classified information. Inability to maintain a SECRET security clearance will result in a candidate being ineligible for this position.

This position is located at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.
