Immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Research Scientist with Prof. Marianna Maiaru at The Fu Foundation School of Engineering & Applied Science, Department of Civil Engineering & Engineering Mechanics and Principal Investigator for the ICME: Optimization of Advanced Components of the Aurora D8 project. The successful candidate will conduct leading-edge research in ICME, computational and experimental mechanics for composite structures, with the following responsibilities: * Developing numerical models for process modeling of fiber-reinforced composite structures * Developing experimental techniques to advance process modeling of fiber-reinforced composite structures * Reports and manuscripts writing, weekly meeting and project dissemination * Ph.D. students mentoring * Grant writing Ph.D. in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Computational Engineering, minimum one year of experience as postdoctoral research associate, knowledge in computational mechanics, experimental mechanics, computational micromechanics, Fortran, Python, and Matlab programming experience.
