Job Description Performance Contracting Group is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant II for its Corporate Accounting operations based in Lenexa, KS. This individual will: Reconcile sub-ledger accounts to general ledger for all companies Participate in month-end close process Journal entries and other general accounting Research and analytical problem solving Be detail oriented, reliable, and well organized Ability to work independently and in a team environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness Respond to Performance Contracting branch inquiries in a timely and professional manner Prepare summary financial information and ad hoc reporting to management as needed Possess good computer skills and demonstrate the ability to learn new computer functionality Work well with others through all methods of communication External audit assistance and preparation of schedules Special projects as needed Other duties as assigned Basic Requirements: Must have a bachelor's degree in Accounting Must have at least 3 years of experience in Accounting Must possess advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, V look-ups, formulas, etc.) Displays strong attention to detail Exhibits excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Self-starter who can effectively prioritize workload Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced work environment Experience working in a high-volume accounting environment Strong ability to think critically and troubleshoot issues Displays resourcefulness and ability to locate information independently Preferred Requirements: At least 3 years of experience in public accounting preferred CPA preferred Construction industry experience preferred Local to the Kansas City Metro Area This role is not eligible for employer visa sponsorship.
