ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

We are recruiting for a Director, Digital Product Management to join our team. In this role, you will support the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of Inspire Sleep's digital product portfolio, including our clinician portal, patient mobile app, Programming software, and enabling technology. You will need to have a deep understanding of user experience, digital product management, and agile methodology as you will be managing a team of Digital Product Managers and Product Owners, driving collaboration across stakeholders to ensure delivery of high-impact, externally facing digital products.

OPPORTUNITIES YOU WILL HAVE IN THIS ROLE

Strategic Leadership:

  • Define and execute the vision and roadmap for digital product portfolio, aligning with business objectives and user needs.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to drive continuous innovation in product strategy and execution.
  • Understand strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized as the best in the industry

Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of digital product managers and product owners, fostering a high performing and collaborative environment.
  • Establish clear performance metrics, provide feedback early and often, and support ongoing professional development for team members.
  • Cultivate talent development and career growth within the team.

Product Management & Execution:

  • Oversee the clinician portal and patient mobile app, ensuring exceptional user experiences that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Oversee the full product lifecycle from ideation and requirements gathering to development, launch, and post-launch optimization for Inspire's digital products.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, engineers, systems and stakeholders to translate business needs into intuitive digital solutions.
  • Ensure the agile team's prioritization of the product backlog is in alignment with strategic business objectives.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among engineering, design, regulatory, and quality assurance teams to ensure predictable delivery of high value features and products.

Agile Execution:

  • Drive the adoption of agile practices within the team to enhance efficiency and adaptability.
  • Partner with engineering and development teams to deliver high-quality digital products leveraging the agile methodology.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clinicians, patients, and business leaders.
  • Act as the primary advocate for the end-user, ensuring all products address their needs effectively.
  • Establish shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to predictable product execution.

Product Analytics:

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate product performance, user engagement, and ROI.
  • Lead the team to leverage data-driven insights to identify opportunities for product enhancements and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Define the vision for robust analytics frameworks to track product usage and feedback, driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Driving Product Quality:

  • Champion product quality and regulatory compliance in every phase of the product lifecycle, ensuring that all digital solutions follow QMS processes and have the highest quality standards.
  • Develop and enforce quality assurance processes and best practices to minimize risk and ensure the safety, reliability, and usability of all digital products.

WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO OUR GREAT TEAM

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in digital product management or related discipline, including experience with externally facing digital products
  • 5+ years of experience in people management, with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated success managing digital product lifecycles from ideation to launch.
  • Strong expertise in user experience design principles and user-centric product development.
  • Proficiency in agile frameworks and tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Advanced level degree in Engineering, Software, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • Experience with Cloud development in Azure and/or AWS
  • IEC 62304 experience
  • Medical device experience
