Mechanic Associate Immediately Hiring Full-Time Opportunity San Diego, CA We're hiring a Mechanic Associate responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet across multiple locations within the AMR San Diego operation. This individual will be qualified to support our ambulance and other company vehicles being used on the road daily. This is a key role to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients. Responsibilities: * Mechanic Associate will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and installations while also providing regular status updates. * Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures. * Clearly document service paperwork and OSHA safety guidelines as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company's information security standards. * Take pride in sustaining a safe and clean working environment for the ground ambulance maintenance team and ground crew. * Use appropriate communication methods to help facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors and team members. * Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow mechanics and operations team. * Operate company vehicles for relocation as well as field repair needs while maintaining company standards. Minimum Required Qualifications: Education/Licensing/Certification: * Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent education. * Must have a current valid driver's license. Experience: * 2 years of basic automotive experience. Knowledge and Skills: * Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to work independently and as a team member. * Ability to employ discretion and confidentiality in sensitive areas. * Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions on memos, letters, various documents and repair manuals. * Ability to perform the essential job functions. * Regular and predictable attendance. * Must have a basic set of personal tools.
