Manufacturing Engineer
Ducommun is an industry leader in fabrication of
large, complex aircraft skins and leading edges. Manufacturing Engineer is needed
to support all aspects of manufacturing complete skins including stretch
forming, brake forming, hot forming, heat treatment, chemical milling, machining,
chemical processing.

Job Summary
- Working knowledge of NC Machines, lasers, CAD,
Tool Design and MBD - Communicate with shop personnel to assist with
proper tool usage and manufacturing procedures with special focus on 5-axis
laser scriber - Develop up-front
manufacturing plans, conceptual tool designs, and cost estimating - Define and implement solutions to improve
manufacturing efficiency - Develop reports, presentations, RCCA's and
rework instructions - Provide a strong
technical interface with customers and vendors - Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area
- Performs other duties as assigned including leading
projects and participation in project committees
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Team leader
- Working knowledge of 5-axis NC machines and set-ups
- Critical thinking skills and good decision-making thought processes
- Proficient in all Microsoft and Outlook programs; highly proficient in Microsoft excel
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills including the ability to articulate complex ideas in a simple manner.
- Ability to effectively communicate among all levels
within the organization
Required Experience and Education
- Bachelor's
degree in in Engineering or Technical Degree - Minimum 2 years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment

Base Compensation: USD 72,000.00 - 101,368.00 Paid Salaried
