The Banquet Set up Attendant, working under direct supervision, is responsible for preparing facilities for events at the various hospitality centers of the organization. The role carries out activities that include setting up the event spaces based on the Banquet Event Order (BEO). The role is focused on helping and supporting the event management team in planning, organizing, and executing various events. #LI-DNI
- Prepares facilities at the organization's hospitality centers including room preparation, and resetting spaces according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO)
- Could also include greeting and seating customers, serving meals, directing customers to and answering questions about the food and beverages offered, setting and clearing tables, monitoring buffet lines and beverage services.
- Works to ensure event/room setups are completed accurately, safely, efficiently and based on the most up to date Banquet Event Order (BEO). This includes moving, setting up, taking down, and putting away tables, chairs and other related items necessary for the event.
- Maintains product and equipment for dining rooms and meeting spaces. Informs the leader when items need repairs or replacement.
- Maintains a sense of professionalism at all times in appearance, mannerisms, and during guest interaction. This includes adhering to all of Hospitality Universal Standards and Experience Maps. Follows and executes all Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assists others on the team as needed to ensure work is completed and a high level of customer service is provided.
- Communicates and documents any changes and/or updates of an event to the Manager on Duty.
- Attends training sessions as required. Complies with all OSHA and safety/training/certification standards within required timeframes.
- Achieves the high standards of quality, production, cooperation, and service set by the company for our employees, guests and customers.
- 0-2 years of experience in Event Management, Hospitality Management or a related field.
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and/or commensurate experience.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
