Job Summary We currently have an opportunity for a Summer 2025 Intern to join the Automation Team. Responsibilities
  • Highly automated equipment such as high speed filling, formulation, material flow, sterilization, and packaging equipment, vision systems, robots, Siemens & B&R PLC's and/or PCS7 DCS systems
  • Troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment in both the support of engineering projects and the manufacturing production floor
  • Properly resourcing and utilizing manuals, SOPs, specifications, and other workplace aids
  • Actively communicating project status timelines and updates with engineering and other cross functional stakeholders
  • Identifies and implements productivity changes to achieve increasing OEE on manufacturing equipment.
  • Preparing, editing and/or updating documents to include maintenance, quality, production, change controls and other documents/reports as deemed appropriate
  • Completing assigned training in a timely manner
  • Promote safe work practices
  • Participating in and leading, as assigned, continuous improvement projects
  • Ability to effectively communicate and contribute to cross functional teams.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of controls and control systems
  • Medium-Heavy work; exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • This position requires excellent organizational skills in both traditional hardcopy and electronic softcopy formats.
  • This position requires excellent communications skills i.e. verbal, written and presentation.
  • Project Cost Tracking and Budget reporting knowledge.
  • Familiarity with MS Project and / or the willingness to learn MS Project.
  • Engineering and/or automation background or current study

Responsible for the collection, organization, and management of the projects' library for all project related documentation, both technical and business case. Responsible for the collection, organization, and management of the projects' electronic library (network files) and the projects' central on-line repository (PKM) for all project related documentation, both technical and business case. Responsible for establishing and maintaining the projects' PSP (Project Structure Plan) at the onset and throughout the life of the project. Responsible for working with the project leads and with vendors regarding the invoice management processes and within SAP to support the projects' business case. Attend project team meetings and assist with determination of project requirements, updating, maintenance, and reporting of action items, and other assignments at the discretion of the project manager. Assist the project team in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFP's, tenders, and CapEx required documentation, and all other project required documentation as needed. Responsible for the preparation and content generation of project organization and communication charts, PowerPoint presentations, and publications. Tracks the progress and quality of work being performed by disciplines and trades. Uses project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures. Generates project reporting metrices to communicate overall project performance. Establish and maintain project communication and database tools such as PKM. Assists the PM in the review of Contractor quotations to ensure that only fair and reasonable pricing is recommended for approval. May be responsible for generation of tendering supporting evaluation documents and tendering summary reports. Follow up with project team members on status of open tasks and action items, escalating to the Project Manager where appropriate Maintain a database to track & manage change notices and change orders.
