Responsibilities

Support the MDA Engineering Directorate Modeling & Simulation Office in the planning, preparation, and execution of the Objective Simulation Framework in support of MDA Flight Tests and Ground Tests. FT/GT phases supported include System Pre-Mission Test (pre-mission risk reduction; MDA/DT Mission Execution Team (MET) CONOPS training; Range Support test buildup activities; Warfighter Training; and, System Post-Flight Reconstruction (SPFR) testing, and HWIL Lab Integration and Test.

Duties include:

  • Participate in all MDA planning and coordination meetings. Representing MDA/DES-I for OSF capabilities, limitations, and new requirements; and, MDA/DES-I for OSF event scheduling, test case development requirements, OSF test readiness, and OSF test execution. Attendance includes presentation of OSF activities, schedule, and readiness as necessary. Work Groups/meetings include:

o MDA/DT test Planning, Readiness, and Execution Reviews

o MDA/SEP Joint Analysis Team (JAT)

o MDA/SEP Scenario Planning Meeting

o MDA/DTD Signature Working Group

o MDA/DTF Mission Execution Team WG (METWG)

o DTG Event Working Group (EWG)

o DE Mission Readiness WG (for OSF Risk

o MDA/SEU SPFR meetings

o BMDS Element planning meetings requiring OSF support

  • Review all Ground/Flight Test planning documentation, with focus on OSF requirements, capabilities and limitations, scheduling, and ability to support. Primary documents:

o Test Objective Memorandum (TOM)

o JAT Data Analysis Plan (DAP)

o Test Case Description Document (TCDD)

o Test Case Design Matrix (TDDM)

o Meetings and GT/FT Review read-ahead material

  • Coordinate OSF test support requirements among all DES-P/DES-I Functional Areas:

o DES-P OSF Development Lead: All OSF limitations affecting Ground/Flight Test support; and, required OSF enhancements to meet new requirements.

o OSF Integration Test Lead/Test Conductor: OSF test requirements and execution schedule for HWIL lab testing.

o Test Case Development Team: All test case related requirements, data input needs, and development timelines. Includes SPMT, CONOPS, Range Buildup, and WF Training.

o Integration Team: OSF SW configuration and test case integration. And, OSF Test Director/Assistant for Range Buildup.

o HW Team: OSF HW/operating system, and network readiness.

o Configuration Management: OSF SW deliveries, test case deliveries, and Certification Data Plan (CDP) development.

o Data Management: Collection and archival of OSF run data.

o Analysis Team: Event Architecture Certification analysis to support determination of OSF readiness to support formal pre- and post-mission testing.

  • MASC-F Team: Analysis for identification, definition, root-cause determination, and resolution of OSF anomalies.
  • Support Continuous Developmental Integration (CDI) testing.
  • Maintain DES-P/DES-I Management awareness of all planning activities, and issues related to ESI/ESP roles and responsibilities. Primary means for keeping Management informed:

o Face-to-face discussions or email on key activities and issues

o Written meeting summaries of key information

o Weekly Activity Report (WAR)

o DES-P and DES-I Staff Calls

o DES-P Technical Action Group (TAG)


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree required
  • Must have an active secret clearance, or ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Proficient in MS Office products

Desired

  • Familiar with MDS architecture and MDA test processes
  • Experience in an MDA program office
  • Working knowledge of MS Teams
