Acara Solutions has been providing advanced manufacturing firms nationally with our staffing services for over 65 years. Our Long Island, NY electronics client has a salaried direct opening for a Senior PCB Designer. The salary range is $120K - $150K. This is an onsite position.

Senior Printed Circuit Board Designer that offers extensive experience in Schematic Capture and PCB layout. Needs to be able work closely with Electrical and Mechanical engineers and have good communication skills. Knowledge of the tools used in manufacturing of PCBs, mechanical housings and how the electro-mechanical components interconnect. Understanding of the wiring needs for the system and wired components.

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

Min 5 years of PCB design experience that includes the following:

- Knowledge of Altium Designer Schematic and Layout, PADS Designer and PADS Logic, Autodesk AutoCAD 2022, 3D Mechanical Design Software (Autodesk Inventor 2022).

- Basic knowledge of the requirements of IPC-6012, IPC-6013, IPC-2221, IPC-2222, and ASME Y14.5-2018.

- Design with the understanding of the needs of the customer/engineering and manufacturing.

Min 1 year of experience doing your own drafting/dimensioning and tolerance analysis (GDT experience or knowledge is necessary).

An engineering degree is a plus to have, but not required. An Associates or technical degree is highly preferred.
