Private Credit Operations Lead

Location - New York - Hydrid

Role:

Private Credit Lead for one of the global investment banks for their Private Credit Operations / Credit Investment group middle office support, this is a full time role (at least two years), with significant responsibility and daily deliverables. Candidate faces off with structured Credit Team, Legal, Trading & PMS, MO CLO team, as well as external stakeholders: Senior Lenders, Equity Holders, trading counterparties, and custodians.

Job Description:

  • Manage the CLO warehouse process from front to back: determine cash needs for daily trading, analyze borrowing base tests, coordinate borrowings, manage cash paydowns, initiate equity draws. Escalate failing borrowing base tests, liaise with FO team around test results, equity draws, etc. Troubleshoot issues with MO colleagues. Communicate with custodians, lenders, equity holders.
  • Manage KYC inquiries: field external KYC queries and distribute relevant documents. Source documents internally if needed by liaising with Tax, Legal. Respond to diligence queries and coordinate internal responses to questions regarding legal, tax.
  • Backup team colleagues on other issues related to ERISA and other reconciliations.
  • Knowledge on Asset Management and related securities
  • Good Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good with Excel and Microsoft applications
  • Experience in loan settlements
  • Experience in PCO / CDO and CLO Operations
  • Buyside experience with knowledge of various investment vehicles
  • Experience in Asset Management and Private Equity Operations
  • Knowledge of Senior secured loans, high yield, Asset Based Securities, Private Credit and CLO bonds
  • Knowledge of Portfolio Set up and documentation
  • Knowledge on Warehouses
  • Experience in Black Mountain Systems and Geneva is an advantage
  • Cash Activity and reporting
  • CLO guideline knowledge a plus
  • Oversight of offshore work
  • Good with excel and communication

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $100,000 - $120,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
