OFP&A manages the annual budget development process, including the application of the University Financial Model (UFM) and other cost recoveries. We evaluate and provide innovative solutions to ongoing budget and planning needs, inform the strategic planning process, and monitor performance against established budgets by delivering timely and accurate reports and analytics. We engage with a broad set of internal and external stakeholders to provide objective, accurate, and timely information, analyses, and decision-support tools while ensuring a high degree of transparency, collaboration, and compliance. We develop, explain, and submit for approval a broad range of financial reports to internal and external audiences. Our team provides service to the diverse units across Grounds, focusing on anticipating needs, providing appropriate guidance, and supporting data-enhanced decision-making at all levels of the institution. We are leaders in the use of UVA's financial and reporting tools and, in collaboration with partners across Grounds, support the development, adoption, and continuous improvement of these tools to improve the quality and efficiency of planning, budgeting, and accounting work for all. We are proactive, collaborative, and mission-oriented stewards of University of Virginia's financial resources. The Financial Advisor plays a vital role in maintaining complex resource allocation models; produces annual budget reporting and assisting in the development of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions.
