Location: Onsite in Jacksonville, FL

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm

Salary range: $17.72-$22.15 per hour based on experience

What work will you perform?

In this position you will be the first point of contact for newly contracted Owner Operator CDL drivers involving day-to-day business decisions beginning when they complete Landstar orientation. Your primary mission will be to provide them with continuing education and training about the Landstar systems and policies through professional, frequent, and consistent contact; reassuring they acclimate successfully to Landstar within 120 days post orientation. Your experience with building relationships and excellent communication will make you a success in providing them with constant feedback including conducting both oral and written reviews at 45- and 90-day intervals.

Essential Responsibilities:



  • Initiate and document first contact with new Owner Operators
  • Perform oral and written review with Owner Operator at 45- and 90-day intervals
  • Gather critical information pertaining to new Owner Operators to promote retention
  • Track and measure weekly gross/net revenue
  • Handle incoming calls
  • Provide guidance about the importance of planning and being productive
  • Monitor inactivity to ensure Owner Operators receive timely counsel on barriers for generating revenue and notify them when there is a balance.
  • Meet face-to-face with Owner Operators if needed to provide solutions for existing or potential problems
  • Collecting outstanding funds that are the responsibility of the Owner Operator


Minimum Experience and Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One year of customer service experience


Preferred Experience and Qualifications:



  • 3 years of customer service experience in a call center environment


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Excellent typing skills
  • Proven leadership skills; ability to handle difficult and/or escalated conversations
  • Excellent geographical knowledge
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Proficient math skills
  • Excellent communication skills; exemplary phone etiquette
  • Must be able to perform quality work with minimal supervision
