TITLE

Go Center Coordinator/Driver

JOB SUMMARY

The Go Center Coordinator/Driver coordinates the TWU Go Program activities and Mobile Go Center unit operations to support the mission and goals of the Center for First-Generation Students at Texas Woman's University. The coordinator performs administrative and supervisory work to support and develop retention, persistence, and success coaching of first-generation students, college readiness workshops, and the G-Force Mentoring Program. The coordinator also schedules routine maintenance of the Mobile Go Center (MGC) and its daily operation.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: Associate Director, CFGS

Supervises: No supervisory responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES - May include, but not limited to the following:

* Promotes and schedules MGC unit throughout the TWU service area and coordinates scheduling of MGC and system-wide recruitment and outreach events

* Provide information and guidance on admissions and financial aid processes to students and families regarding higher education

* Prepares and submits a variety of reports on all data relevant to the TWU Go Program operations and student recruitment

* Assists in implementing and evaluating student success, retention, and recruitment programs, including TWU Collegiate Work-Study Mentorship Program and Mobile Go Center Program

* Assists with special events, first-generation student programs and activities, and training for Collegiate G-Force and other student groups or CFGS student leaders

* Drives the Mobile Go Center, a 42 Gooseneck Magnum/Wells Cargo trailer, weight of 15,000 pounds, to various events and activities to promote college education to 5 counties, including Denton, Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, and Cooke counties

* Coordinate driving routes and manage event logistics, ensuring the transportation of students and the Mobile Go Center equipment is seamless and efficient

* Ensure the safety and proper maintenance of the unit by regularly communicating with Facilities Management regarding vehicle upkeep. This includes but is not limited to returning the unit to its designated parking area, maintaining accurate mileage and maintenance logs, coordinating with appropriate vendors for vehicle/inspection stickers, generator maintenance, tire rotations, oil changes, and any necessary repairs for the truck, trailer, and related equipment or vehicles

* Provide technical support throughout an event and routine checks on all unit hardware, including laptops, golf carts, wheelchair lifts, etc. This includes setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting related equipment such as Wi-Fi connections, printers, and other technology for activities and events.

* Coordinates and implements program-related activities, following policies and guidelines related to mentoring, success coaching, retention, and outreach programs/ projects aimed at retaining first-generation college students, including the day-to-day operation of the TWU Mobile GO Center

* Represents TWU and the Center for First-Generation Students (CFGS) at community events, promotes the importance of higher education, and assists with recruiting efforts

* Assists in implementing and evaluating student success, retention, and recruitment programs, including TWU Collegiate Work-Study Mentorship Program and Mobile Go Center Program

* Assists with special events, first-generation student programs and activities, and training for Collegiate G-Force and other student groups or CFGS student leaders

* Provide administrative support for program budgets, reports, and logistical needs

* Develop and implement promotional strategies for program visibility and student engagement with the community, including the TWU campus community.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

* Performs other duties as requested.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in higher education or area related to program content or assigned responsibilities

EXPERIENCE

Three years of experience in a generally related area or experience advising first-generation students and college student groups. Knowledge of admissions and financial aid processes. Bilingual preferred.

REQUIREMENT

Regular and reliable attendance at the University during regular scheduled days and work hours is an essential function of this position.

All employees share the responsibility of maintaining information security and privacy requirements within the university by adhering to Federal and State regulations, and TWU Policies & Procedures.

Must have a valid Class A Texas Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the State of Texas or be able to obtain one within 90 days from the date of hire to attain Driver's Authorization through the university.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES - The following are essential:

* Knowledge of admissions and financial aid processes, including FAFSA and TASFA.

* Knowledge of first-generation student needs and college readiness resources.

* Skill in operating large vehicles and setting up mobile equipment for events.

* Skill in data collection, reporting, and program evaluation.

* Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.

* Ability to manage multiple tasks independently, including vehicle operation and program coordination.

Supervisors and employees should ensure that injury/accident reports are submitted to the Office of Human Resources and Risk Management within 24 hours of the incident.
