Youth Fitness Instructor (Certified Personal Trainer)

About the Role:

As a Youth Fitness Instructor, you will design and lead engaging, age-appropriate fitness programs for youth ages 7-16. You will create a welcoming and supportive environment that encourages kids and teens to enjoy movement, develop strength and endurance, and build lifelong fitness habits.


What You'll Do:

  • Design and implement dynamic workouts tailored to different age groups and fitness levels..
  • Foster a fun, motivating, and inclusive atmosphere that promotes confidence and teamwork.
  • Track and assess participant progress, adapting programs as needed.
  • Educate youth on proper fitness techniques, injury prevention, and overall wellness.
  • Engage with parents and guardians to communicate program goals and progress.
  • Support marketing efforts and promote youth fitness programs within the community.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized fitness environment.


What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • Certified Personal Trainer through a nationally recognized agency (ACE, NASM, NSCA, ACSM, etc.).
  • Experience working with children and teens in a coaching, fitness, or instructional setting.
  • Strong ability to engage, motivate, and inspire youth of all fitness levels.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, energetic attitude.
  • Awareness of proper body mechanics and injury prevention techniques.
  • Ability to create structured yet adaptable training programs.

Qualifications

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in physical education or related field preferred
  • Certification from a nationally recognized agency such as ACE, AFFA, ASCM, NSCA, and NSPA preferred
  • Flexible schedules



PHYSICAL DEMANDS:



  • Sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to perform all physical aspects of the position; including leading classes and activities, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting
  • Must be able to lift 45-pound weight plates
  • Must be able to work outside when weather permits
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to listen, hear, and discern members & program participants' wants, needs, and interests
  • Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations
  • Ability to demonstrate equipment used for exercise training
