Summer Intern - Cloud Computing (Hybrid)

While the majority of our employees are hybrid, the following classifications drive our current minimum onsite requirements:

• Hybrid People Leaders: must reside in AZ, required to be onsite at least once per week

• Hybrid Individual Contributors: must reside in AZ, unless otherwise cited within this posting, required to be onsite at least once per month

• Onsite: daily onsite requirement based on the essential functions of the job

• Remote: not held to onsite requirements, however, leadership can request presence onsite for business reasons including but not limited to staff meetings, one-on-ones, training, and team building

Please note that onsite requirements may change in the future, based on business need, and job responsibilities. Most employees should expect onsite requirements and at a minimum of once per month.

This internship requires work and residency within the state of Arizona.

What to Expect

As a Cloud Computing Intern, you'll contribute to technical support, resolution, and analysis of information technology functions while gaining practical experience in implementing and maintaining solutions in Azure, AWS, and on-premise infrastructure using infrastructure as code methodologies. As you do, expect to thrive in an energetic, diverse environment, championed by a team committed to your learning and development.

Pay: $18-$23/hour

Hours: 20 - 40 hours per week (Depending on your school schedule. We're flexible!)

Duration: 8-12 weeks

Location: Onboarding, training, and some projects will be located at our 8220 N 23rd Ave. office in Phoenix, Arizona.

Throughout this Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona internship, you will:

• Learn the BCBSAZ business model and organization.
• Expand and develop knowledge through exposure to the roles within the IT Infrastructure team.
• Participate on work teams, contribute to projects and initiatives, and perform various tasks as needed by the assigned unit/department.
• Research, analyze, track, and resolve basic IT problems.
• Respond to user requests for service, troubleshoot problems, and help develop solutions.
• Learn area's direct flow and how it affects surrounding systems and operational areas.
• Assist in maintaining records and process documentation.

Qualifications

• High-School diploma or GED
• Two years attendance at an accredited school pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in computer technology or related technical field.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Driver license with acceptable driving record
• Intermediate PC proficiency, including Microsoft Office skills
