Job Description

The pay range for this position ranges from $27.30/hr-$32.08/hr.

This posting is for maintenance mechanic work within the M20 classification. This can include Piping and plumbing, machinery and engine repair, carpentry, tool repair and tool keeping. Offers and pay will be determined based on depth and breadth of prior experience and demonstrated knowledge of the above skills.

A physical job task analysis is available at the time of interview.



Required/Preferred Education/Training

Required:

    High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of trades experience.
  • Must be able to meet the requirements of the Physical Task Analysis.
  • Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.


Required/Preferred Experience

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum 2-4 years related work experience.
  • Good working knowledge of the pneumatic and hydraulics tools.
  • Good Record of Safety work Practices.
  • Ability to identify and use proficiently all the prescribed tools of the trade and maintain in good working condition.
  • Ability to prepare & interpret dimensioned sketches of parts and general layouts so fabrication and/or installation can be done after routine explanation with minimum supervision.
  • Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces

Demonstrated experience in at least one or more of the following maintenance areas:

  • Ability to trouble shoot & work steam, condensate, gas, water, and sewer and other Piping systems.
  • Ability to trouble shoot & work on gas & diesel engines, and other rolling equipment systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot & work on, and document work for cranes and other lifting equipment.
  • Ability to do carpentry, construction and repairs to buildings, finishes and building envelopes.
  • Ability to operate a tool crib, familiarity with tools, tooling, tool repair, and inventory management operations and software.
